The mappa mundi cradled in his left arm, the Father presides at the top of the retable, below the arms of the kingdom of Castile and León and directly above St. Joseph and the Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception. Anne and Joachim flank the statue of the Virgin. (see below).

The Immaculate Conception retable is in the south transept of the cathedral. The central statue is the Virgin Mary as Immaculate Conception, with statues of SS. Joachim and Anne to her left and right, St. Joseph and God the Father above her.
